Every month Nature, the world’s foremost serious science mag, runs a short work of scifi on its Fun ‘N Games page beside the Nature Jumble and Dave Berg’s ‘The Lighter Side Of Thermodynamics’. Henry Gee (who edited this book because Charles Gosh and George Aw Shucks were unavailable) collected the best pieces for this anthology. All of them are quite short, around 500 words, which is great if you have a short attention span, a terminal illness or a short attention span caused by a terminal illness (e.g., Dysentery Distraction Syndrome).

On a scale of disreputable science magazines ranging from The Riot Grrrl Science Fanzine to Science N’ Shit, this book is: The Christian Science Journal.

100% All-Natural.
